The New Blogger Toolbox

Craftsman_2Drew, being a man full of good ideas, encouraged our little side of the sphere to put together a new blogger's toolbox. His criteria were the following:

  • Are chock full of practical tips
  • Act as a living lab on how to write compelling blog posts
  • Demonstrate how to build a community
  • Teach marketing tools
  • Are welcome wagons - bloggers who spotlight newbies

Many, many kickass blogs have already been added, so I thought I'd add a few more.

Two of my favorites are both penned by men named Noah. Given my proclivity towards both boats and rain, I was naturally drawn to them. Noah Brier (of noahbrier.com) is a strategist over at Naked in NY and creator of Likemind. Noah Kagan (of okdork.com) worked at Facebook, organized Community Next and is currently the Director of Marketing Evangelism at Mint.com.  He recently moved out of his parents house.

Russell Davies headed up global planning for Nike, worked on Microsoft at Wieden and Kennedy, and writes smart things. If you're not reading, I question your intelligence.

Greg Verdino just moved on from the Director of Emerging Media at Digitas to become the Chief Strategist at Jaffe's Crayon. He's bald, but I'm pretty sure he does it just to show off how smart he is.

Jason Lonsdale (aka the "Meme Huffer") is a Senior Planner at Y&R London. Something tells me he is extremely proud of his favorite hat.

But, shit man, I could go on and on. There's so many great blogs out there. If you haven't read all of these, you really need to get off your lazy ass and get your nose in the blogosphere. Do it!

Alright, I've run out of things to say, but there are so many more great blogs. At this point, I realize that I should have just pointed you to my extensive blog roll. But, fuck it. Everybody loves link love, right? There you go...
